Global annual steel production

Atmospheric & Biogeochemical CyclesAnthropomass

This quantity comes from a time series measurement and the most recent value (2010) is reported.

Value:

This is equivalent to...

(1.4 ± 0.21) × 109 t / yr

HuID: 85981
Relevant Year(s): 2010
Summary: This value is an estimate of total global steel production based on a material flows model.
Method: The value comes from a Materials, Inputs, Stocks, and Outputs model of global material flows. The model is run as a Monte Carlo simulation 103 times to obtain mean and standard deviations. The uncertainty range represents three standard deviations from the mean.
