Global annual concrete production

Atmospheric & Biogeochemical CyclesAnthropomass

This quantity comes from a time series measurement and the most recent value (2010) is reported.

Value:

This is equivalent to...

(2 ± 0.3) × 1010 t / yr

HuID: 16995
Relevant Year(s): 2010
Summary: An estimate of global annual concrete production from a material flows model.
Method: This value comes from a Materials, Inputs, Stocks, and Outputs model of global material flows. Total production is calculated from the net annual addition to concrete stocks plus the amount of outflow to waste and recycling. The uncertainty range reported covers three standard deviations from the mean and is obtained from 103 runs of the simulation.
