Method: Value reported in the source to be 747.05 ± 1.05 thousand km2 with the uncertainty corresponding to the 95% confidence interval. Value is obtained by classifying pixels in Landsat images from 1990 to 2010 with a resolution of ≈ 30 m. The total urban land area in 2010 as determined by satellite imaging.
