Flora & FaunaAgriculture

This quantity comes from a time series measurement and the most recent value (2018) is reported.

Value: 3.5 g / capita / day
HuID: 23687
Relevant Year(s): 2018
Summary: Global average daily protein supply from beef per capita. This represents the average amount of protein available for human consumption and does not necessarily represent how much is consumed or how much is available in a given country/region.
Method: The FAO collects data from countries on production of beef (bovine meat). This value represents the amount available for human consumption, after accounting for other uses and losses. Protein content is calculated from the average protein composition of bovine meat. The FAO does not provide an assessment of uncertainty and this value should be considered approximate.
